UK Work Visa’s

UK Skilled Worker Visa

The UK Skilled Worker Visa is available to applicants of any nationality who have a confirmed job offer for an eligible skilled role from a UK employer approved by the Home Office. This visa can lead to permanent settlement, and applicants may bring their dependent partners and children with them.

To obtain a UK Skilled Worker Visa, you must have a job offer for a specific role that meets defined skill and salary criteria from an employer licensed by the Home Office. Separate guidance is available for UK employers interested in applying for a Skilled Worker sponsor licence.

If you’re looking to start a new business in the UK or already own an established UK company, you may be eligible for a Skilled Worker visa through self-sponsorship, that is your own UK business acts as your sponsor.

There is no limit on the number of individuals who can come to the UK under the Skilled Worker route.

UK Skilled Worker Visa Requirements

To be eligible for a UK Skilled Worker Visa, you must meet the following criteria set by UK Visas and Immigration:

• Be at least 18 years old;
• Hold a valid Certificate of Sponsorship for the role you intend to undertake;
• Have a job offer for a genuine vacancy;
• Ensure the role meets the required skill level;
• Be offered a salary that meets or exceeds both the general salary threshold and the 'going rate' for the relevant SOC 2020 occupation code;
• Have your sponsoring employer pay any applicable Immigration Skills Charge;
• Demonstrate English language proficiency at a minimum of CEFR Level B1;
• Have sufficient funds to support yourself without accessing public funds;
• Provide a criminal record certificate, if required;
• Submit a valid tuberculosis (TB) certificate, if applicable.
